What would I consider when selecting a Balance Transfer Credit Card?

Everyone has their priorities and what is important to them. When I’m selecting any balance transfer credit card, I consider the following points.

  • Length of Intro APR Period: Longer periods give me more time to pay off my debt without interest.
  • Balance Transfer Fees: Lower balance transfer fee influences the overall benefit I get from the credit card.
  • Regular APR: Post-introductory period rates are essential, especially if I won’t pay off my balance in full during the intro period.
  • Rewards and Other Benefits: Some cards offer cash back, points, or other perks that might align with my spending habits.

Bottom Line

These Balance transfer credit cards each offer unique benefits and terms, so it’s important to consider your individual financial situation and how you plan to use the card. Remember, while 0% APR periods can be very helpful, it’s crucial to have a repayment plan to avoid high interest charges once the introductory period ends.
